While visiting Israel to do some exciting tours of the Holy Land, you may want to take advantage of the many attractions for children that Tel Aviv offers. Tel Aviv and its neighboring cities have diverse activities and attractions ranging from sunny beaches to parks. Here are some of the city’s main sights.

Yarkon Park

Tel Aviv, the equivalent of New York’s Central Tel Aviv Park, Yarkon Park, also called Ganey Yehoshua (Joshua Gardens), offers plenty of open space, playgrounds, ponds, bicycles and running trails. There is also a wonderful children’s zoo called “Tzapari” where entertaining parrot shows are held every Saturday. On weekends, the park offers a train ride for children. You can also rent a small boat and sail the river with your family. This is the perfect place to take your kids for hiking, or for playing and hiking.

Tel Aviv amusement park

Tel Aviv is called the Luna Park. It is located in the northern part of the city and offers some old sights, along with new and modern additions. Another, more modern nature park, called Superland, is located in Rishon Lezion, about 25 minutes’ drive from Tel Aviv.

Meimadion Water Park

During the summer months, children enjoy visiting this water park, located in Yarkon Park, near Luna Park. The water park includes swimming pools for adults and toddlers, water slides and a fantastic swimming pool.

Located in the nearby town of Ramat Gan, Safari has been one of Israel’s most popular attractions for children for many years. You can ride a car in the safari area to see uninfected animals in their natural environment, take a train trip with your children, drive through the lion area, or visit the safari zoo, where animals are kept in humane conditions. Check for early morning tours or night tours that are occasionally offered.

Swimming pool Gordon

In this unique pool, located near the marina, water is brought directly from the depths of the sea. This makes for a refreshing experience during hot summer days, because the water is ice cold. Ideal for people who don’t like sand but still want to enjoy Tel Aviv beach like experience.
